My Polarized Heart by yourmetaphor My Polarized Heart by yourmetaphor
I know, it's somewhat cliche, but I've never done it myself. I had to try it. I'm happy with the outcome.

It was possible thanks to the little studio lamp my friend recently gave me. Thanks so much Keith!

Hehe, very nice...more creative than what I did with my polarized filter in Brisbane (just holding it up to the sky and taking a picture with my hand). Well shot; great shadows and use of light.

Yeah, I bet there's tons of these around DA. I was trying to do a good quality version, with the limited materials I had. I'm glad you like it. :)

thats cute. I dunno why everyone is saying it's cliched, I've never seen anything quite like it...

When I saw the little thumbnail of it it looked like a little stylized man climbing out of the book :p

It is cliched yes, but its also quite cute. I think you could do with playing with the colours here though, they are a little flat - might make this a little more eye catching. I do like it though :)

Thanks.

I'd love to try it in a different setting, with more light and perhaps even a colored filter, but didn't really have those options at the time. And personally, I like the muted colors. It gives it a certain feeling of solitude and quiet. Glad you still like it. :)

I've seen it done with a dual-color filter. It looked pretty damn rad. I'd like to try that. Of course, a red filter would be a natural choice to try. Maybe someday I'll get around to experimenting further.
